Our Rational
Rational of Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill Coordination Group
The Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill Coordination Group was formed twenty years ago after a community led initiative funded by South Lanarkshire Council , to find out what was important to the residents and what improvements the community felt would enhance the two villages.
The Coordination Group was also formed to help bring the two village communities to work together to build a better community for the residents and our children.
The Coordination Group wanted to give the two village communities a voice and to develop local projects to enhance the villages.
Based on a full consultation process with the two villages a Community Action Plan was created to highlight what was important to the residents , and what improvements were required moving forward.
What we stand for
Our Community Action Plan
In 2019 supported by Bank Renewal Energy the Coordination Group agreed to create an updated Community Action Plan to understand what was currently important to local resident within the two villages , and what had changed since the initial Community Action Plan twenty years ago .
The Coordination Group after a full consultation process engaged Community Enterprise to create the new Community Action Plan and a full engage process with the two villages and all local group and community organisations. Click the link below to read more:
